CapCut CRE[AI]TE 2026 • LHC

CapCut launches CRE[AI]TE, its first festival dedicated to AI creation, open for free to creators worldwide, whether they are freelancers, students, studios, or teams. Four categories are offered: -Film, for complete narratives of a minimum of 2 minutes with no upper limit; -Series, for episodic formats with at least two episodes of 40 seconds each; -Creative, for experimental and social-first works from 30 seconds to 3 minutes; -and Commercial, for brand films and spec ads up to 3 minutes maximum, provided the brand is fictional or invented, with existing brands being prohibited. The main constraint of the rules is straightforward: the work must be created with CapCut Video Studio, which must play a primary role in the final submitted work; other AI tools are permitted as supplements, provided they are declared. Works created from April 1, 2026, are eligible, and each work may only compete in one category, with mandatory English subtitles for non-English language submissions. The jury evaluates human vision and intent, story or concept, AI mastery, originality, and polish, and specifies that the quantity of AI used does not improve the chances of winning: it is the finished work that is judged, not the prompt. In total, 30 works will be recognized: 10 cash prizes and 20 Spotlight Selections, which are non-monetary recognitions, with all selected participants receiving 50,000 credits and one year of CapCut Pro. For motivated candidates: a Starter Pack distributes one month of CapCut Pro in six waves of 200 claims between June 10 and July 30, and sharing a making-of with the hashtag #CapCutCREAITE can earn an additional 4,000 AI credits. Submissions are made via the official form until August 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM UTC, with winners announced in September 2026. Creators retain ownership of their works, with CapCut reserving the right to feature them as part of the festival.
