Voxel-It, Pika's Skill that turns the scenery into blocks, not humans

Pika's new Voxel-It Skill converts photo backgrounds and objects into Minecraft-style cubic blocks on pika.me while keeping human subjects realistic.

Voxel-It, Pika's new Skill, converts any photo into a world of cubic blocks, in a spirit similar to Minecraft. Its particularity lies in selective processing: the background and objects are voxelized, while people remain perfectly realistic, where a classic filter would uniformly transform the entire scene. The user decides what to convert, the background alone, a specific object, or both.

The feature illustrates the shift taken by Pika, long identified with video generation and now a platform for creative agents. Voxel-It is one of those Skills that can be triggered in natural language, on the pika.me platform as well as via the Pika MCP, which connects the Pika agent to other compatible AI agents. This allows launching the effect with a simple command, such as “voxelize the background.”
