The X API becomes accessible to agents via MCP
The X API is now accessible to AI agents like Grok, Cursor, and Claude via a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) server using the open-source xurl bridge.
A hosted MCP server now allows connecting Grok, Cursor, Claude, VS Code, or any compatible tool to the 𝕏 API.
Once connected to the user's account, the agent can search the full archive, find users, read timelines and mentions, view trends and news, manage favorites, or even prepare Articles.
𝕏 also offers a separate MCP server to search its API documentation without leaving the working environment. The connection is made via xurl, a local open-source bridge that handles OAuth authentication, renews the token, and forwards calls to api.x.com/mcp.
