Suno raises over $400 million, valued at $5.4 billion
Suno raises over $400 million in a Series D round led by Bond Capital, boosting the AI music generation platform's post-money valuation to $5.4 billion.
Suno closes a Series D of over $400 million, which brings the valuation of the music generation platform to $5.4 billion post-money. The round is led by Bond Capital, accompanied by IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, and Quiet, with participation from existing investors Matrix, Lightspeed, Menlo Ventures, and Schroders Capital, as well as artists, producers, and songwriters.
The raise comes as viral trends have propelled the app to the top of the App Store's Music category in dozens of countries, driven by uses that extend far beyond professional settings: group conversations transformed into songs, tracks composed for birthdays or graduations, but also palliative care patients leaving songs for their loved ones, or caregivers creating tracks related to the memories of people with Alzheimer's.
The funds are intended to expand the possibilities offered to artists and creators, with a milestone already set: the deployment, in the coming months, of a first music model developed in partnership with the music industry.
