Seedance 2.0 wins a 4K release

Dreamina launches its Seedance 2.0 AI video model in 4K on web, offering 3840x2160 resolution with character consistency for 84 credits per cinematic second.

Dreamina now offers Seedance 2.0 in 4K, on its web version. This variant targets an output of 3840 by 2160, which the company intends for post-production and brand visuals, boasting claimed sharpness down to the smallest detail, from hair to light, and high-bitrate color transitions, which it touts as ensuring a professional output.

Beyond resolution, the model reiterates the arguments already put forward for Seedance 2.0: character consistency from shot to shot, designed to maintain the face, outfit, and features across multiple scenes; multi-shot storytelling, for chaining sequences with camera movements and narrative continuity; and reference control, which applies style, lighting, or textures from provided images or videos. Additionally, it includes finishing tools, resolution upscaling, image interpolation, and generated soundtracks.

All this pristine quality comes at a price: a fifteen-second 4K video costs 1,260 credits, or 84 credits per cinematic second.

4K is becoming accessible region by region, with the company citing Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and South America, and other regions to follow.
