Runway designates the twenty winners of its first Big Pitch Contest.

Runway named twenty Big Pitch Contest winners, awarding the $50,000 Grand Prize to Guillermo Miranda for Sincitium, a fictional series pitch made with AI.

The first Big Pitch Contest organized by Runway around the theme Shows That Don't Exist Yet concluded with the selection of twenty projects from several thousand submissions received. The brief was a single line: to produce entirely with Runway's tools the pitch for a fictional series, in a video format between one and three minutes.

The Grand Prize goes to Sincitium by Guillermo Miranda, who takes home $50,000. Followed by Stan by Oliver F. ($15,000), In Dreams Awake by Katherine Glória ($10,000), Fool's Errands by Zack Murray ($5,000), and Treehouse by Karolin Stelzig ($5,000). The fifteen finalists ranked from sixth to twentieth place each receive $1,000, bringing the total prize money to $100,000.

Regarding the rules, all video generation had to be done using Runway, under an active subscription. Sound was permitted in all its forms (music, sound design, voice-over) provided the rights were owned, each entry had to be original, and the IP fully controlled by its author. A dedicated watermark was mandatory on the final video.

The jury relied on three criteria to evaluate the projects: concept (originality of the idea), technical mastery (quality of execution using Runway's tools), and impact (the pitch's ability to impress the viewer).
