Runway dedicates its AI Summit to Physical AI and World Models

Runway's AI Summit on Sept. 30 in San Francisco focuses on Physical AI and World Models, featuring speakers from NVIDIA, Physical Intelligence and Anyscale.

Known for video generation, Runway is organizing a one-day AI Summit in San Francisco, scheduled for September 30th at The Masonic. However, the event shifts its focus from creative to AI applied to the physical world: robotics, autonomous vehicles, life sciences, infrastructure, and AI policy. The stated common thread is the role of World Models and video generation in the deployment of robots and embedded systems.

The first wave of announced speakers leans heavily towards robotics and computation. It includes Quan Vuong, co-founder of Physical Intelligence, Paril Jain, co-founder and CTO of The Bot Company, Ming-Yu Liu, head of the Cosmos Lab at NVIDIA, and Robert Nishihara, co-founder of Anyscale. Anastasis Germanidis, co-CEO of Runway, completes the list, alongside Vivek Viswanathan, advisor to California Governor Gavin Newsom. More names are to follow.

This edition follows a first one held in New York. Registrations are open, with an early bird rate of $350 for in-person attendance.
