Reframe reframes Reve's images without cropping out what matters

Reve's Reframe tool allows you to modify the orientation and scale of an image without altering its original composition to simplify variations.

Reve adds Reframe, a tool to resize an image to the right format without starting from scratch. It consists of two functions, each tailored for a specific type of adjustment.

Reshoot adjusts the zoom, up to ten times in either direction. Tightening the frame isolates a detail; widening it reveals a portion of the scene that the original shot hadn't captured. The same command switches the image from one orientation to another, from vertical to horizontal, from square to widescreen. Best reserved for cases where the composition works but the framing is off.

Relayout, on the other hand, is used to adapt the same image from one format to another. It transposes a portrait into a horizontal banner or a landscape into a vertical format ready for stories, without cropping out what matters. Handy when a single visual needs to run on multiple platforms with different proportions.
