Ploy raises $27 million to automate website and marketing
Ploy raises $27 million in seed funding led by First Round and Y Combinator to launch its AI platform automating website management, growth and ad campaigns.
Ploy unveils its platform and a $27 million seed round, led by First Round and Y Combinator. Behind the project is Bryant Chou, co-founder and former CTO of Webflow, whose simple bet is: to transform a company's website into a self-managing growth engine.
The approach begins by ingesting the existing website, learning its style guide, components, and brand to ensure consistency from the outset. Agents then monitor the company's site and competitor sites (positions, traffic, content gaps), create and refine pages, write content, launch and optimize campaigns, then synchronize everything with the CRM, continuously and in the background. Three engines interact: Ploy Web builds and converts, Ploy Grow identifies visitors and re-engages them, and Ploy Ads manages advertising and end-to-end attribution. Each morning, a report summarizes what has been done and what is proposed, for validation or publication.
Chou advocates an idea contrary to current trends: in an era where answer engines summarize content and agents browse instead of customers, the website remains the only asset one truly owns.
