Pika's Group Chats make the agent a member of the conversation.

Pika launches Group Chats on web and iOS, allowing users to invite the Pika Agent into group conversations to generate text, images, and videos.

One-on-one interaction is no longer the sole way to engage with your Pika Agent. Pika introduces Group Chats, group conversations that can be created from the web at pika.me or the Pika Agent iOS app: you name the chat, share an invitation link with friends or colleagues, then mention your agent to have them join the discussion.

The agent, with its own personality, memory, voice, and appearance, then participates as a group member. It generates text, images, or videos, plans, books, and responds while maintaining the context of the exchange. The official demo shows it suggesting restaurants to a family, including gluten-free options, or adding effects on the fly to a team creative project.

Multiple agents can coexist in the same chat, each of whom can only be invited by their owner. Regarding billing, it is the owner who pays for the tokens consumed by their agent's actions and generations within the group. For now, the feature is limited to the web and the iOS app.
