Pexo turns video editing into a conversation with an agent

Pexo is an AI video agent that can start from an idea, URL, or reference material and build a complete project. Scripts, shots, generation, editing, voiceover, music, and captions are controlled through natural language, with revisions marked directly on the video.

From brief to edit in the same conversation

A rough idea, webpage, image, audio file, or video can serve as the starting point. Users describe what they want while Pexo structures the script, scenes, shots, and creative direction.

The interface avoids a traditional timeline-first workflow. A section can be marked directly on the video and paired with a natural-language instruction, similar to leaving a comment in a document. The agent then applies the requested revision without requiring the entire edit to be rebuilt manually.

Its scope extends beyond generating individual shots. Pexo also handles voiceover, music, motion graphics, captions, transitions, and pacing, with the goal of returning a finished video rather than a collection of clips that still need to be assembled. Multiple models behind one agent

The platform is not introducing its own foundation video model. Instead, it orchestrates different generation engines and selects one based on the requested shot. Its interface references models including Seedance, Kling, GPT Image, Nano Banana, and others.

For larger productions, Pexo says it can route shots across more than ten engines. Users can let the agent make that choice or explicitly request a specific model. This makes Pexo closer to a production agent than a conventional text-to-video generator. Revise a scene instead of rewriting the prompt

Control is primarily iterative. After the first generation, users can ask to shorten the video, replace a scene, change narration, or revise a specific visual element by continuing the conversation.

When given a script, for example, the agent breaks it into scenes, produces the visuals and voiceover, then lets individual sections be revised before the final render. A URL can also become the project's source material: Pexo reads the page, structures a narrative, and produces the corresponding video. The agent can become a tool for another agent

The same approach extends beyond the web app. Pexo provides a skill that connects its video pipeline to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes, Manus, and other compatible agents.

Once connected, an external agent can ask Pexo to generate or edit video, browse previous creations, and reuse an earlier shot as a reference. Generation, editing, music, and captions remain handled by Pexo without leaving the primary agent conversation.

The workflow documented by Pexo therefore centers less on a new video model than on orchestrating the production chain from the initial brief to a publish-ready file.
