Ordering, Booking, Shopping: What Handoff Can Do

Handoff controls a browser to handle purchases, reservations, and online research from a dedicated virtual computer.

Handoff is an agent designed to complete long-running tasks directly in a browser. For each request, Hark creates a virtual computer with its own browser, file system, and terminal, allowing the model to click, type, scroll, and adapt to interface changes.

The system targets everyday tasks such as ordering food, comparing products, booking a flight or restaurant, conducting research, and contacting job candidates. Users can connect their existing accounts so the agent can access saved addresses, preferences, and other stored information.

Handoff directly generates mouse and keyboard actions inside a live browser. Its training currently combines supervised learning with reinforcement learning, allowing it to learn from successes and failures encountered during real tasks. Hark plans to extend this work to earlier stages of model training.

On Online-Mind2Web, the company claims the top position on the human-evaluated leaderboard. Hark also says Handoff outperforms GPT 5.4 by an average of eight points and Opus 4.8 by two points across three browser-use evaluations. Some of those comparisons, however, were conducted within an internally developed environment.

The agent is currently available as a research preview. Hark plans a broader release of the platform but has not yet provided details on pricing, usage limits, approval steps before purchases, or the terms for connecting personal accounts.
