OpenAI opens applications for its DevDay 2026 in San Francisco

OpenAI opens applications for DevDay 2026 in San Francisco on September 29, targeting developers with a $650 registration fee and global Exchange events.

OpenAI is opening applications for its DevDay 2026, scheduled for September 29 at Fort Mason, San Francisco. The day is designed for developers and technical professionals, featuring sessions on APIs and tools, practical demos and workshops, an overview of what the in-house teams are building, and networking opportunities among participants.

Space is limited: attendance is by application only. Applications must be submitted by July 10 here, with responses (either a confirmed spot or a waitlist notification) expected by the end of July. Accepted applicants will have fourteen days to register before their spot is offered to someone else. Registration costs $650. A limited number of scholarships covering fees, sometimes including travel and accommodation, is available upon request within the application. The opening keynote will be livestreamed and accessible to everyone, with other sessions being made available online afterwards.

OpenAI is also extending the event with DevDay Exchanges later in the year, in several cities including Bengaluru, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Berlin, London, São Paulo, and Mexico City.
