Mirelo SFX 1.6 opens iterative sound editing.
Mirelo SFX 1.6 upgrades its sound effects generator with iterative editing tools like Extender and Inpainter, accessible via web, API, and video plugins.
Mirelo is upgrading its sound effects generator to SFX 1.6, with a stated goal: to move beyond simple generation towards iterative editing. Where it was often necessary to regenerate everything in case of a flaw, the tool now allows users to touch up an existing sound, extend it, loop it, or correct a portion of it.
Four functions are being introduced. Long Generations produces up to 60 seconds of audio in a single pass, six times more than before, from a video or a prompt, without audible seams. Extender prolongs a provided, generated, or recorded sound, precisely where it stops. Ambiancer generates perfectly looping ambiences, with the sound ending where it begins, useful for a crowd, an engine, or an urban background. Finally, Inpainter isolates a precise section of a sound—an unwanted noise or click, for example—and replaces it without affecting the rest.
The entire suite is accessible from Mirelo Studio on the web, via plugins for Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve, or through an API. The company summarizes its philosophy with a simple idea: sound design relies on iteration as much as on creation.
