Meta is rolling out Muse Spark across all its applications and connected glasses.

Meta deploys its Muse Spark AI model across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in the United States and Canada.

Muse Spark, the first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), is reaching a new deployment milestone. Designed specifically for Meta products, it already powers the Meta AI assistant on the dedicated app and on meta.ai, and is now coming to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, as well as Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta smart glasses in the United States and Canada. Compatibility with Meta Ray-Ban Display is planned for the summer.

The model is presented as intentionally compact and fast, while remaining capable of reasoning on complex questions in science, mathematics, and health, with a dedicated layer developed in collaboration with doctors. It relies on multimodal perception, allowing the assistant to identify a photographed product, compare references, or classify foods by their protein content from an image. Meta also highlights visual coding capabilities, which enable the creation of mini-websites or mini-games from a prompt, as well as a Thinking mode and the ability to parallelize multiple sub-agents on a single query.

Several new features are integrated in parallel: voice gains fluidity in the Meta AI app, with interruption, subject change, or language switching during an exchange; Live AI mode, already available on smart glasses, now allows users to point their phone's camera at a scene to ask a question in real time; the shopping mode queries both Facebook Marketplace and the rest of the web, with map display and the ability to mention a brand or creator to browse their public content; finally, Meta AI can be summoned via a side chat in any group conversation or via the @meta.ai mention in a Threads post. The model is also offered in private preview via API to a restricted circle of partners, with Meta indicating its aim to open-source subsequent versions.
