Manus shows his plan and waits for the green light before building.
Agent Manus now submits his development steps in Markdown before coding. A safeguard to validate a site's structure at a lower cost.
Most agent failures stem less from a lack of capability than from a misalignment: no one reviewed the approach before starting the machine. You describe what you want, the agent builds an entire site, and you discover after the fact a bad layout or a forgotten payment integration. Manus's Plan mode inserts a review step before execution.
Rather than launching immediately, Manus pauses, checks feasibility, and presents its approach as an editable Markdown document, complete with its objectives and steps. You read it, correct it by hand or by asking Manus to rewrite it, and then validate it. Nothing is built until the plan is confirmed or rejected, which protects an existing site or slides. The mode is manual: it activates on demand, and if context is lacking, Manus asks questions first.
The process is primarily aimed at development, where planning brings to light early on what a prompt leaves in the dark, from hidden edge cases to unstated assumptions. Spotting them in a plan is much cheaper than once the site is in production. Moreover, the mode can be triggered mid-task to frame the next phase before it starts.
A useful side effect: a single sentence is often enough to launch a complete build, with the plan filling in the prompt's gaps. Plan mode is open to all accounts, on both web and mobile.
