Manus AI launches Cloud Computer, an isolated Ubuntu Linux virtual machine for running 24/7 persistent scripts, databases, and bots via natural language.

Manus AI has introduced Cloud Computer, a dedicated, always-on virtual machine accessible from the web, mobile, and desktop application. Designed as a complement to existing environments (temporary sandboxes and local PC control), it allows what the user builds to continue running 24/7, without relying on a personal computer remaining powered on.

The instance is based on Ubuntu Linux and remains isolated from the local machine, with Manus handling the configuration based on natural language instructions. Files, databases, scripts, and bots persist there between sessions. Highlighted use cases include hosting Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, or Telegram bots (news summaries, customer support, lead qualification), live databases connected to CSV files with automated report generation, self-hosted open-source tools such as WordPress, Metabase, Home Assistant, Odoo, or Plausible, as well as scheduled scrapers and Python scripts.

Activation is done from Settings > My Computer > Create Cloud Computer, with a choice of three plans (Basic for simple Python scripts, Standard for active websites and APIs, Advanced for team databases), a location, and a storage volume. CPU, memory, and storage monitoring is accessible via a dashboard, and the instance via web terminal or SSH.

The interface is command-line only, without access to local files for isolation purposes. Should the subscription be terminated, persistent files are deleted, with final results remaining available in the conversation history. Pricing has not been publicly detailed.
