Jitter integrates Animate with AI
Jitter adds Animate with AI, a new feature allowing motion designers to generate and customize custom effects on layers using natural language prompts.
Jitter, a motion design web platform used by over 20,000 creative teams, is adding a module called Animate with AI to its interface. This principle reverses the logic of traditional effect libraries: instead of choosing from a closed list, the user describes the desired effect or animation in natural language, and the AI generates it directly on the selected layer.
The feature is activated from the Animate tab in the right sidebar. A few seconds are enough to get a render, whether it's a fluted glass background, a glitch effect, a pixelated dissolve transition, dithering, a 3D rotation, or a card flip. The generated effects are not static: they can be refined via a new prompt, manually adjusted, reused on other layers, and shared within a team to maintain visual consistency.
A collection of templates created with this module accompanies the release, including Grainy Color Clamp, Threshold Effect, Halftone Effect, Luma Dot Background, Gooey Effect, Fluted Glass Background, Pixelated Mask, CRT Effect, Ripple Effect, Holographic Logo, Text Extrusion, or Pixel Dissolve Transition. An export option completes the update, with the ability to copy an artboard directly in PNG format.
Animate with AI extends the platform's AI trajectory, following Brainstorm in November 2025 and Image-to-Video via prompting in March 2026. The company also mentions an upcoming interface redesign. The tool remains accessible for free, with paid tiers, and the new feature is available immediately in the Animate tab of existing accounts.
