Decart's Lucy 2.5 model maintains video edits in 1080p despite movement. What the end of drift changes for advertising.
Decart is pushing its real-time video editing system forward with Lucy 2.5, which generates every frame on the fly in 1080p at 30 frames per second, without relying on pre-rendered video. As the stream plays, the user can swap a character, change an outfit, add visual effects that obey the physics of the scene, rework an entire backdrop, or erase an object, using text prompts and reference images.
The technical breakthrough lies in Self-Anchoring. Shortly after a stream begins, the model takes a snapshot of its own output—which already carries the edit as it appears in the actual scene—and uses it as a new reference. The guidance signal remains sharp throughout the duration instead of drifting, a common pitfall of autoregressive models. The claimed result: a costume change made in the first few seconds still holds several minutes later, and a subject can exit the frame, turn around, and return without the edit dissolving. Coupled with Smart History Augmentation, the system extends identity, geometric, and texture consistency.
On the speed front, Decart has reworked its inference stack: low-precision quantization in MXFP8 and NVFP4, with announced gains of up to four times on compute-bound operations, a dynamic sparse attention mechanism that prunes redundant computations via dedicated kernels, and deeper kernel fusion. The company highlights use cases in e-commerce with virtual try-ons, in advertising with localized ad variants, in interactive streaming, and in gaming.
