Hundreds of ads generated, tested, then rewritten around performance

Runway Ads automates the production and optimization of advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, and TikTok. Images, videos, localization, and creative variants are generated and adjusted based on performance data from each platform, with human approval enabled by default.

Creative enters a continuous loop

Producing an ad is no longer the final step. With Runway Ads, performance after publication becomes an input for generating the next set of variants.

A company connects its advertising account and provides its brand kit, previous ads, and product imagery. The system generates images and videos around those references, prepares multiple versions, and sends them for approval.

Once approved, variants can be published directly to Meta, Google, and TikTok. Runway Ads then reads performance data back from those platforms and generates the next round around the creative that actually earned spend. One campaign can produce hundreds of variants

The system automatically handles the formats and aspect ratios required by each platform. The same creative can also be localized across multiple languages, including voiceover, on-screen text, and UI screenshots inside the ad.

Teams can define rules to preserve specific brand terms or other elements during localization. Every variant also goes through an automated brand check before reaching the approval queue.

Human approval is enabled by default. Teams can later allow automatic publishing for selected campaigns or types of creative.

Spending remains constrained by advertiser-defined limits, including maximum daily changes, minimum net-new audience share, and retargeting caps. Performance determines what gets generated next

The loop builds on part of the work behind Runway Agent, applying it specifically to creative production and media buying.

An ecommerce company can use its product feed to generate ads across thousands of SKUs. A mobile app can localize one creative across multiple markets, then analyze which attributes work in each region separately. An agency can apply the same test-and-regenerate cycle across multiple client accounts.

The workflow reduces the usual separation between creative production, distribution, and measurement: data collected after publication becomes an input for the next production cycle. From 77 to roughly 900 ads per week at Runway

Runway has been using the same infrastructure for its own advertising program since July. The company says weekly ad volume increased from 77 to roughly 900 ads, an increase of close to 1,000%.

Over the same period, Runway reports doubling its return on ad spend, increasing conversion by roughly 34% while click-through rate remained steady, and reducing cost per subscriber by 41%.

The company also associates the period with an additional $100 million in ARR. The announcement does not provide evidence that would isolate Runway Ads as the sole cause of that growth. The advertising results also come from Runway's own campaigns rather than an independent comparative test. An initial enterprise rollout

Runway Ads is currently being piloted with selected Enterprise partners. Companies can request early access by providing information about their paid advertising program.

A broader rollout is planned over the coming weeks. Runway has not yet provided pricing or details on whether additional advertising platforms will join Meta, Google, and TikTok.
