xAI integrates Grok Connectors with Gmail, Notion, Slack, and OneDrive to let users query personal and work data directly without permanent storage.

xAI is equipping its Grok assistant with a new feature called Connectors, which allows the tool to access the user's professional applications via the standard OAuth protocol. The goal: to allow Grok to interact directly with personal or work data, without an intermediate copy-paste step.

The list of supported services covers Gmail, Google Drive, Google Slides, and Google Calendar on the Workspace side, Outlook, OneDrive, and PowerPoint on the Microsoft side, as well as Notion, Slack, and GitHub. The scope is gradually expanding. Once the connection is authorized from the dedicated tab in the settings, the user formulates their requests in natural language: summarizing unread emails, restructuring a presentation from notes stored in Drive, organizing a Notion task database by priority, or suggesting time slots from the calendar.

Regarding privacy, xAI specifies that activation is opt-in service by service, that access is most often read-only, and that data is processed in real-time without permanent storage. Consulted content is not added to the chat history nor used for model training. Revocation is done with a single click. A detailed policy specifying scopes and retention is expected within the week.

Connectors are available on all plans, including the free version, on grok.com as well as on iOS and Android applications. Compatibility with Apple Mail, Apple Calendar, and iCloud is not yet effective, due to restrictions imposed by Apple's APIs, but is among future developments.
