Google Vids integrates Veo 3.1 and Lyria 3 and opens video generation to all accounts
Google Vids opens Veo 3.1 video generation to all users, adding Lyria 3 music creation and directable AI avatars for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
Google announces several new features for its video creation tool Vids. Clip generation via Veo 3.1 becomes accessible to any user with a Google account, with 10 free monthly generations from a prompt or a photo. Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers simultaneously gain access to original music creation via Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro, for durations up to three minutes, as well as directable AI avatars: placement in scenes, interaction with imported objects, and customization of appearance and outfits. Two cross-cutting tools complete the update for all users: a Chrome extension allowing screen recording directly from the browser, and a YouTube export option integrated into Vids. Ultra accounts, meanwhile, benefit from a quota of 1,000 Veo generations per month.
