Google Labs is testing Dreambeans, personal stories infused nightly.

Google Labs is testing Dreambeans, an Android and iOS app using Personal Intelligence to generate personalized morning stories for US AI Ultra subscribers.

The application works while its users sleep. Dreambeans, a new mobile experience from Google Labs on Android and iOS, leverages Google's Personal Intelligence to connect Gmail, Calendar, Photos, YouTube, and Search, then, each night, with the user's consent, it prepares a morning infusion of personalized stories: tips for a puppy's first weeks, gift ideas before a birthday, travel suggestions, or extensions of an interest spotted in searches.

Each story is accompanied by a watercolor-style generated illustration, which can incorporate the user's own photos and loved ones via Google Photos and Nano Banana 2, as well as quick action buttons like booking a vet appointment. Feedback left on each story refines the next day's selection, in what the American press describes as hope scrolling, as opposed to doomscrolling. Choices made within the app do not influence Gemini or other Google products, and the history remains deletable. Access is currently limited to Google AI Ultra subscribers who are adults in the United States, with a waitlist open to other US accounts before a gradual rollout based on feedback.
