Google Flow Music opens to artists signed with Believe and TuneCore

Google Flow Music, powered by Lyria 3 Pro, is now open to Believe and TuneCore artists to generate lyrics, melodies, and styles using licensed training data.

Google Labs and Believe are formalizing a partnership that makes Google Flow Music, formerly ProducerAI, available to artists, producers, and songwriters signed with the Believe group and its distribution subsidiary TuneCore. The application is positioned as a creative companion designed for exploration: lyric generation, melody testing, trying out new styles, or designing novel instruments.

The engine under the hood is Lyria 3 Pro, Google's latest music generation model. Its particularity lies in an understanding of composition structure that allows for distinct prompting of intros, verses, choruses, or bridges. The model boasts stylistic versatility ranging from amapiano to dream pop, handles complex rhythms, and accepts vocals in multiple languages. Google specifies that Lyria 3 Pro's training relies exclusively on content that YouTube and the group are entitled to use under their terms of service, agreements with rights holders, and applicable laws.

Regarding rights, the company claims no ownership over works produced via Flow Music. The partnership also provides for the formation of a panel of ambassador artists selected by Believe and TuneCore, who will meet weekly with the product team to guide the tool's future developments.

The operation reflects Google's desire to integrate into the music industry ecosystem through contractual means rather than a simple public launch, at a time when generative AI music publishers like Suno or Udio remain targeted by lawsuits from major labels. Believe, which distributes several hundred thousand artists worldwide, serves here as a massive entry point to an already professionalized user base.
