Google Earth unlocks the visual reimagination of places with Nano Banana

A new feature now allows users to generate images directly from Google Earth’s satellite, aerial, and 3D views. From the web version, you simply need to zoom in on a location, activate the "create image" option, and describe what you want to see to obtain a visual proposal anchored in the actual location.

The integration of Nano Banana 2 thus transforms Google Earth into a projection tool. An empty lot can be converted into a shopping district, a lakeside plot into a housing project, or a historical site into a period reconstruction. Google also highlights more educational uses, such as creating contextual infographics about a location. In this case, Gemini retrieves the relevant information, and then Nano Banana produces the corresponding visual.

The feature targets both recreational uses and more concrete visualization needs. Architects, urban planners, teachers, or real estate professionals can use it to show a development proposal or illustrate a scenario more clearly. Google emphasizes that these images remain tied to the actual terrain observed in Earth, rather than being generated in an abstract space.

The feature is available starting today worldwide on Google Earth for web. In parallel, Google Earth is pushing the experimentation on 𝕏 with several creation challenges, inviting users to reinvent a location as an animal resort, an architectural project, or other more creative scenarios.
