Gamma acquires Dream AI's mobile team (WOMBO) to accelerate on mobile.

Gamma acquires Dream AI's mobile team from WOMBO to accelerate mobile presentation creation for its 70 million users and expand its visual capabilities.

Gamma, the AI presentation creation platform often described as the anti-PowerPoint, is acquiring the mobile team of Dream AI, the image and video generation app published by WOMBO. The operation focuses on the team, not the Dream app itself: it's an acqui-hire, aimed at strengthening Gamma's mobile development so that users can visualize their ideas and create their presentations directly from their phone.

The choice of this team is not insignificant: Dream is renowned for the quality of its mobile visual generation experience, exactly the area Gamma wants to accelerate rather than rebuild from scratch. Incidentally, the arrival of this expertise suggests more image, and even video, generation within the tool itself.

Regarding figures, Gamma claims over 70 million users and over $100 million in annualized revenue, is profitable, with a team of around fifty people. Its last funding round, a Series B led by Andreessen Horowitz, had valued it at $2.1 billion.
