Following ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude Enterprise strengthens cost management.

Anthropic adds cost tracking and spending controls to Claude Enterprise, matching OpenAI's ChatGPT Enterprise to manage agentic and Claude Code expenses.

Three weeks after OpenAI equipped ChatGPT Enterprise with credit tracking and spending controls, Anthropic is in turn adding comparable tools to Claude Enterprise, as agentic uses create spending patterns far removed from those of a simple chat. The logic is similar, but the implementation has its specificities. The admin dashboard links each cost to the usage that produced it: generated artifacts, modified files, skills and connectors used, all filterable according to existing SCIM groups. Claude Code inherits two tabs, one on developer activity, the other on value, with an estimate of productivity gain and cost per commit, whose formulas remain visible and adjustable. A conversational interface responds in natural language and returns exportable graphs, while an Analytics API feeds this data into third-party tools like Datadog or CloudZero.

Regarding spending control, an administrator sets the default model in chat, Cowork, and Claude Code, and chooses which models remain open according to roles. Alerts notify at 75% and 90% of a set organizational ceiling, with the user being warned before blocking and able to request an increase. An Admin API allows these controls to be scripted at scale.
