Figma Weave: Three new gestures to connect nodes

Figma Weave adds three new gestures—connect many to one, one to many, and create a prompt from handle—to streamline node connections on its AI canvas.

Figma Weave, the AI workflow platform born from Figma's acquisition of Weavy in late 2025, adds three gestures designed to streamline pipeline construction. On this canvas where nodes (prompt, generation, editing, composition) are connected rather than interacting with a single model, connecting the blocks to each other quickly became tedious.

First, the connect many to one: you select multiple nodes and connect them all at once to a single node, useful for gathering variants into a composer. Conversely, the connect one to many starts from one node, and holding Shift while hovering connects all targeted nodes in one gesture, useful for distributing the same output to multiple parallel steps. Finally, the create a prompt from handle: a double-click on a node's handle (input or output port) makes a pre-connected prompt node appear, without manual creation or branching.

The tool remains accessible at weave.figma.com, still distinct from the main Figma platform.
