ElevenLabs revives Stan Lee's voice under official license

ElevenLabs partners with Stan Lee Universe to recreate the late Marvel creator's voice for commercial licensing, the ElevenReader app, and cameo templates.

ElevenLabs partners with Stan Lee Universe, the entity managing the comic creator's legacy alongside Genius Brands International and POW! Entertainment, to reintroduce the voice of the late writer. This was reconstructed from existing professional recordings, under a license approved by the rights holders, and not from an impromptu clone. Several uses are immediately available. On the Iconic Marketplace, the voice is intended for commercial use—advertisements, films, games, or podcasts—subject to a paid license request validated by the rights holders. In the ElevenReader application, it narrates audiobooks, starting with a "Stan Lee Book of the Month Club" which will launch in June with Treasure Island, followed by a public domain classic each month for a year. On the creative side, "cameo" templates allow users to feature Stan Lee in image or video, in the style of his Marvel cameos, currently time-limited and reserved for personal use, with professional use again requiring the official license. Two musical finetunes, Superhero Cinematic Swells and Retro Hero Fanfare, complete the offering and remain freely accessible to all users.
