Dreamina Originals wants to support AI films all the way to distribution
Dreamina launches Originals, a program to support AI films and series with production credits, computing power, and distribution support.
Dreamina is expanding its creator initiative with Dreamina Originals, a program designed to support film and series projects across a more comprehensive pipeline, from production to distribution. The call for projects is open from October to December 2026 and targets production companies, industry professionals, and AI content creators alike.
The stated ambition goes beyond simple access to generation credits. Dreamina promises to mobilize computing power, technical support, marketing resources, and industry connections to help selected projects transition from visual development to a finished work, and ultimately to its release.
The Dreamina Originals partnership details can be accessed via the campaign's QR code, while the application form allows for direct project submission. Two Formats, Two Production Approaches
Dreamina distinguishes between two major categories.
For feature films, the program is looking for projects intended to become feature-length movies of at least 90 minutes. Applicants must already have an original story or script and, if adapting an existing intellectual property, the necessary clearances. Visual elements, a sample reel, or a short film must also be sufficiently advanced to bring the project to life.
No specific style is imposed. The program targets both theatrical releases and distribution on online platforms.
For series, Dreamina recommends episodes of at least three minutes, with a cumulative duration of approximately 100 minutes. Here too, the project must already have a story and initial visual elements or a sufficiently advanced demonstration. The format can target both long-form video platforms and environments more focused on short-form content. Up to 15 Million Credits for a Film
The support offered to selected films is particularly substantial on paper.
Dreamina announces up to 15 million production credits, with coverage tailored to the project's needs. Selected teams can also benefit from priority access to computing resources and work directly with the platform's R&D teams during the testing and production phases.
The initiative also includes individualized technical support, notably covering issues related to copyright protection or the necessary exemptions when a face needs to be used in the project.
Once the film is completed, Dreamina also announces support for distribution, festivals, and physical premieres, with the possibility of sharing revenue generated from theatrical releases or specific platforms.
The positioning is therefore different from a traditional competition: Dreamina seeks to intervene during the creation of the project rather than simply rewarding a finished film. Two Levels of Support for Series
The series track operates with two categories, named S Tier and A Tier.
The S Tier provides full coverage of production credits, with no announced cap, combined with the highest priority level for access to computing power. Dreamina also plans individual technical support as well as distribution and marketing assistance.
The program adds a commercial dimension by potentially seeking sponsors or brand partnerships for the projects involved.
The A Tier provides up to 1 million credits per episode, priority access to computing capacity, and copyright support. Dreamina also announces media support of up to $10,000 per episode, which teams can allocate across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and 𝕏.
The gap between the two tiers shows that the platform is not just looking for technological demonstrations. Projects with commercial development or audience potential can secure support much closer to that of a co-producer or distribution partner. Dreamina Aligns Its Creator Program with Production
Dreamina Originals complements the Creative Partner Program, or CPP, which the platform is already developing with its creator community.
Dreamina indicates that it has supported more than 2,000 creators in over 40 countries within this program. A recent update to the CPP notably allows creators to receive up to 500,000 credits per month depending on their performance and status.
For CPP members selected for Dreamina Originals, several additional benefits are announced: priority evaluation, one-on-one support from the operations team, the opportunity to fast-track through certain program tiers, and an extra month of Dreamina Advanced subscription.
The creator initiative continues to exist in parallel for shorter productions. Confirmed partners can receive a Dreamina Standard membership along with 10,000 monthly credits. Content publication can also trigger additional credits, with reward mechanisms tied to organic performance.
This approach extends the strategy already visible around the Dreamina Creative Partner Program, which the company increasingly presents as a program for filmmakers and creators actually working on productions, rather than just a community of users. From Tool Provider to Production Partner
Above all, Dreamina Originals marks a shift in scale in the relationship between video generation platforms and creators.
Until now, most of these companies primarily provided models, subscriptions, and occasionally credits to the most visible artists. Here, Dreamina is beginning to intervene in areas traditionally associated with production: resource allocation, technical support, marketing, partner sourcing, festivals, and distribution.
This evolution aligns with a trend already noticeable among several generative video players: platforms no longer want to be just the tool used to make the images. They are gradually seeking to participate in the birth, funding, and exploitation of the works created with their technologies.
With Dreamina Originals, this logic becomes particularly explicit: the goal is no longer just to help generate a sequence, but to foster the emergence of intellectual properties capable of existing beyond the platform.
