Delegate a task in the office, retrieve the finished work on mobile

Anthropic expands Claude Cowork to mobile and web, allowing Max plan users to run background tasks across devices with doubled usage limits until August 5.

Claude Cowork, the space where a task is entrusted to Claude to carry out across files, calendar, messaging, web, and connected tools, is moving beyond the desktop to mobile and the web. The beta is rolling out over several weeks, first for the Max plan, then for other offerings. A session launched from a desktop can be continued and retrieved from a phone.

Three evolutions accompany this expansion. Work follows the user from one device to another. It continues in the background, even without a connected device: a task scheduled for 6 AM can sift through exchanges and transcripts, produce a preparation note, and leave a follow-up email drafted but unsent. Arbitrations, however, remain the user's responsibility; Claude addresses the question to the user when a decision is theirs to make, with nothing dispatched without validation.

On the web and desktop, classic conversation and Cowork also merge into a single space, blending projects and artifacts. According to Anthropic, over 90% of Cowork usage is not for software development but for general office work, with operations and content production leading the way. Cowork's doubled usage limits are extended until August 5th.
