Anthropic's Claude Platform on AWS is now generally available, offering native API features, AWS billing, and models like Claude Opus 4.7 alongside Bedrock.

Anthropic is making Claude Platform on AWS generally available (GA), a solution that allows AWS customers to access all native Claude API features with AWS IAM authentication, logging via CloudTrail, and consolidated billing on their AWS invoice, chargeable against existing contractual commitments. This offering coexists with Claude on Amazon Bedrock, which remains available for customers subject to strict data residency requirements.

The structural difference between the two options lies in their scope of operation. With Claude Platform on AWS, Anthropic operates the service, and data processing occurs outside the AWS perimeter, which provides day-one access to all new features and betas as soon as they are released on the native API. On Bedrock, AWS remains the data processor, and processing stays within its perimeter, resulting in a delay for certain features.

The integrated catalog includes Claude Managed Agents (beta) for deploying agents at scale, the Advisor strategy (beta) for engaging an advisory model, web search and retrieval, Python code execution, the Files API (beta), Skills (beta), the MCP connector (beta), prompt caching, citations, and batch processing. The Claude Console, Anthropic's development environment (prompt improver, prompt generator, evaluation tools), is also accessible.

The available models are Claude Opus 4.7, Sonnet 4.6, and Haiku 4.5, with future releases planned at the same pace as the native API. Availability covers most AWS commercial regions, with global and US inference.
