Claude Desktop full on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry

Claude Desktop on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry now integrates chat, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code into a single secure enterprise application.

Organizations using Claude Desktop via AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Foundry now have access to the full Desktop experience, meaning chat, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code, all combined into a single application. Until now, these clients only had Cowork and Claude Code on these platforms; chat now joins them.

The stated benefit is to keep inference within the enterprise environment while deploying the application at scale. Inference runs on the chosen cloud and in the configured regions, with conversation history remaining stored locally. Each of the three surfaces has its own policy key, allowing for decisions on who gets what and when: chat for quick answers, Cowork for delegating a task where the agent delivers the finished output, Claude Code for agentic code outside the terminal. Strict refusal rules, however, apply everywhere.

Regarding deployment, connection occurs via the existing professional account through SSO and identity providers like Okta, without a shared key to renew. Policy templates export to standard fleet management tools, with an offline installer covering isolated environments. Anthropic also describes a safeguard that maintains routing to Claude even in case of misconfiguration, including GovCloud, and a Microsoft 365 connector for mail and documents, with a local option keeping the exchange between the device and Microsoft for the strictest residency requirements.
