Claude Code Hackathon: Anthropic distinguishes six projects, from medical to factory

Anthropic has named six winners of its Claude Code hackathon, including Medkit, Wrench Board, and Maieutic, built by non-coders using Claude Managed Agents.

Anthropic looks back at the winners of its "Built with Opus 4.7" hackathon, where participants built tools with Claude Code in just a few days. The common thread is less about technical prowess and more about the profiles: a doctor, a self-taught repairman, a computer science teacher, a carpenter's son with no coding experience.

Leading the pack is Medkit, by Istanbul-based doctor Bedirhan Keskin, which simulates consultations for resident training, with an agentic corrector that scores patient management based on clinical recommendations. Second, Frenchman Alexis Chapellier, a former electronics technician, created Wrench Board, an agent that reads schematics and boardviews to guide board repair, pad by pad. Next up is Maieutic, by Paula Vásquez-Henríquez (Chile), an IDE that forces students to specify and then reason before coding, with autocompletion disabled.

Three other projects were also recognized: an interactive puppet theater controlled by webcam and voice, MaestrIA, which connects Chilean individuals and artisans based on a photo diagnosis, and ARIA, a factory predictive maintenance system built on Claude Managed Agents. Several winners are already discussing pilot programs or contacts to take their projects further.
