ChatGPT Enterprise gains credit tracking and spending controls
ChatGPT Enterprise updates introduce credit usage analytics and spending controls in the Global Admin Console to help administrators manage deployment costs.
On the governance front, ChatGPT Enterprise is enhanced with credit usage analytics and revised spending controls, designed to give administrators more visibility into their deployments and the associated cost management.
In the Global Admin Console, ChatGPT and Codex credit usage can now be viewed in a single view, with a breakdown by user, product, and model, tracking trends over time, and identifying top consumers. The same data remains accessible via a Cost API for analysis within the company's own systems.
Regarding spending caps, an administrator can set a default limit for the workspace, define limits for specific groups, and create individual exceptions. Each employee sees their consumption against their budget and can request additional credits by specifying what they are working on, with the final decision resting with the admin. This allows power users to continue without raising everyone's caps. All of this is available now.
