CapCut launches a collection of original series created with Director Mode
CapCut launches original series made with its Video Studio Director Mode, partnering with filmmakers like Dustin Hollywood to showcase AI video continuity.
CapCut presents a first collection of original series and films entirely produced with Director Mode, a feature of its Video Studio tool. The catalog covers several genres, from horror to romance, including fantasy, animation, comedy, and crime/thriller.
Director Mode is designed for serialized fiction, long-form content, and AI-generated videos. The key selling point is continuity: a single creator can take an idea to a finished work while maintaining the consistency of the narrative, characters, settings, and visual direction from start to finish. A making-of documentary detailing the creation of these initial productions is promised soon.
The initiative relies on a group of partner directors, including Kadir Saracoglu, Dustin Hollywood, Vitaly Nico, Koldo Huici, VeeDeeZee, Hierarkiya Films, and Nyko Oliver. Their works will be published on a dedicated CapCut page and promoted on their own channels. Dustin Hollywood, introduced as one of the program's inaugural filmmakers, also plans to host a three-hour workshop at the AI on the Lot event.
