Bland Raises $50M in Series C for its Phone Voice AI
Bland raises $50M in a Series C round led by Dell Technologies Capital to scale its in-house phone voice AI models and expand into regulated industries.
Specializing in phone-based voice agents, Bland has closed a $50 million Series C round led by Dell Technologies Capital, bringing its total raised to over $100 million in less than three years. The round also includes HubSpot Ventures, Tribeca, and Archerman, alongside existing investors such as Emergence, Upfront, Scale, and Y Combinator.
Bland distinguishes itself with a deliberate strategy: to build its own voice models in-house rather than relying on third-party foundation models, and to control the entire stack so that data does not pass through any external service. Its target is long, unpredictable calls, lasting thirty to forty-five minutes, in regulated sectors such as healthcare and finance, where a conversation that goes awry can have significant consequences. It reports a response time of less than 400 ms and support for over one hundred languages.
In terms of traction, it states it processes over 3.5 million calls per week and lists Samsara, Kin Insurance, and CNO Financial Group among its clients. The funds will be used to strengthen research, expand engineering, and extend the platform to new sectors.
