Black Forest Labs adds virtual try-on to its FLUX lineup

Black Forest Labs launches FLUX Virtual Try-On, an API-enabled tool generating realistic images of people wearing selected clothes in under four seconds.

Black Forest Labs completes its FLUX range with FLUX Virtual Try-On, a virtual try-on tool. Its operation involves two inputs: a photo of a person and one or more images of clothing. From there, the model produces a rendering of the person wearing the chosen items, in less than four seconds according to the publisher, more like two in its demonstration.

The tool boasts good detail preservation, the person's face, pose, and lighting on one side, and the clothing's logos, seams, prints, patterns, and textures on the other. It handles multiple items in a single pass, as well as multiple people and multiple poses in a single generation: the demonstration shows a grid of three individuals and three angles whose outfits change simultaneously. The publisher also highlights reduced cost and latency, designed for processing large volumes of products, and compares its speed to that of competing solutions, approximately two seconds versus about ten.

Regarding access, a free interactive drag-and-drop demonstration is available on the publisher's website, and the feature is already accessible via the in-house API, through a dedicated endpoint.
