Automatic deblurring now joins the FLUX Tools
Black Forest Labs adds FLUX Deblur to its API tools, using a FLUX.2 Klein 9B fine-tune to automatically sharpen blurry images without prompts or masks.
Black Forest Labs adds FLUX Deblur to its suite of API-driven editing tools. The principle is intentionally straightforward: a blurry image as input, a sharper version as output, without a prompt or mask. The tool operates on the entire image and aims to preserve the original scene, including character identity, colors, objects, lighting, and composition.
Technically, the endpoint relies on an image-to-image fine-tune of FLUX.2 Klein 9B, trained on blurry/sharp pairs, which positions it more as a rapid restoration tool than a free generative retouching tool. The documentation also outlines some limitations: highly degraded inputs may remain imperfect, typography and human anatomy may present challenges, and the processing does not yet allow for targeting a specific area.
