Anthropic releases ten ready-to-use Claude agents for financial services

Anthropic releases ten Claude financial agents for Claude Cowork, Claude Code, and Claude Managed Agents, powered by Claude Opus 4.7 to automate operations.

The timeline aligns with Perplexity AI's, which is releasing on the same day Computer for Professional Finance, its own agentic offering aimed at the same teams. Anthropic provides ten pre-configured agent templates to automate the most time-consuming tasks for financial professionals: pitchbook creation, KYC screening, month-end closing, valuation review, general ledger reconciliation, meeting preparation, and quarterly earnings tracking. Each template is delivered as a plugin for Claude Cowork and Claude Code, and as a cookbook for Claude Managed Agents, accessible from the dedicated financial services marketplace.

The categorization covers two families: research and client coverage agents (Pitch builder, Meeting preparer, Earnings reviewer, Model builder, Market researcher) and finance and operations agents (Valuation reviewer, General ledger reconciler, Month-end closer, Statement auditor, KYC screener). Firms can adapt them to their modeling conventions, risk policies, and approval workflows. Two deployment modes coexist: local execution alongside the analyst via Cowork or Claude Code, or autonomous execution on the Claude Platform with long sessions, tool-specific permissions, a credential vault, and a comprehensive audit log for compliance teams.

Claude also integrates as an add-in with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Outlook coming soon), with context automatically transferring from one application to another. The connector catalog expands to include Dun & Bradstreet, Fiscal AI, Financial Modeling Prep, Guidepoint, IBISWorld, SS&C IntraLinks, Third Bridge, and Verisk, in addition to FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, MSCI, PitchBook, Morningstar, LSEG, and Daloopa, which are already available. Moody's, for its part, introduces an MCP that exposes its proprietary credit ratings on over 600 million public and private entities. Anthropic positions Claude Opus 4.7 as the foundation, leading Vals AI's Finance Agent benchmark at 64.37%.
