An immersive FLORA curriculum reserved for eight experienced designers

FLORA’s Immersion Program offers free AI training in Brooklyn for eight senior designers, led by former Pentagram creative Catherine Chung until September 3.

FLORA’s Immersion Program is for professional designers (branding, packaging, art direction, motion) who have mastered their craft but haven’t yet integrated AI into their practice. The stated premise: it’s easier to teach a good tool to a good designer than the other way around. No AI experience is required, with selection based on work, concept, and portfolio breadth.

The format is condensed. Eight people per cohort, a two-hour session every Thursday evening at 300 Kent Ave in Brooklyn, from August 6th to September 3rd, with remote spots also available. The program blends structured lessons, real-world use cases, and critiques focusing on both deliverables and the underlying workflows. Instruction is led by Catherine Chung, Forward Deployed Creative at FLORA, who boasts seven years of multidisciplinary design experience, including three and a half years at Pentagram.

Admission is by application only, participation is free, and applications remain open until July 15th. To illustrate the target level, FLORA highlights its collaborations with studios like Base Design, Pentagram, and Matte Projects.
