A ring to whisper-dictate and finger-edit

Oasis Devices launches OASIS 1, a $289 smart ring with a trackpad and Wispr Flow microphone for discreet whisper-dictation on Apple devices by late 2026.

OASIS 1 is a smart ring designed for discreet dictation, from Oasis Devices, a small Miami-based company. The idea: bring your hand to your mouth to whisper text where speaking aloud isn't appropriate, then correct it with your finger. The ring features a capacitive 2D trackpad that moves the cursor, edits text, and navigates the interface via gestures. Haptic feedback accompanies the interaction.

OASIS claims a microphone that isolates ambient noise, up to 16 hours of battery life, and compatibility with iPhone, Mac, and Vision Pro, plus Spotify and Apple Music. Transcription is handled by Wispr Flow, the voice recognition app highlighted as the primary integration, which converts even a whispered voice into text within any application.

The device extends a previous ring with only a trackpad, set to ship in late 2025; OASIS 1 adds the microphone. Ricky Rosa, founder of Oasis Devices, sees this as a first step toward a broader goal: making the keyboard, then the screen, optional.

Pre-orders are open at $289 for a limited first batch, with delivery announced around Christmas 2026.
