$668 million to expand GMI Cloud's GPU capacity
GMI Cloud has secured $668 million in new financing to expand GPU capacity across the US, Taiwan, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. The package combines $223 million in Series B equity with a $445 million credit facility, while contracted ARR has now surpassed $600 million.
$223 million in equity, $445 million in credit
The $668 million announced by GMI Cloud is not entirely a Series B equity round. The financing combines $223 million in equity with a $445 million credit facility led by CTBC.
The Series B was led by ARCHIV, an investment firm focused on AI and robotics, with participation from NVIDIA, DSC Investment, Trend Micro, KB Investment, Kyobo Life, and KT Corporation.
GMI Cloud plans to use the capital to expand GPU capacity across the US, Taiwan, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Part of the funding will also support its inference services and strategic hiring. More than $600 million in contracted ARR
Contracted business has grown sharply since the end of 2025. GMI Cloud says its contracted ARR now exceeds $600 million, more than nine times its year-end 2025 level.
The company distinguishes that figure from live ARR generated by services already in production, which it says has grown more than 4.5x over the same period. No absolute dollar figure was provided for live ARR.
Its inference platform is also processing approximately 4 trillion tokens per week, according to GMI Cloud.
Customers named by the company include Fireworks, Higgsfield, Nous Research, OpenRouter, Reflection, Cartesia, Trend Micro, and Utopai Studios. GPU infrastructure across Taiwan, the US, and Asia
The additional capacity will build on GMI Cloud's existing infrastructure plans, including its Taiwan AI Factory and a sovereign AI initiative in Japan.
Founded in 2021, the company provides both GPU infrastructure for training and running AI models and an inference platform.
GMI Cloud particularly emphasizes its relationships with Taiwan's AI hardware supply chain as a way to secure equipment and keep cluster deployments on schedule.
The new financing will fund additional capacity across several regions. GMI Cloud has not disclosed a valuation for the Series B or the interest rate, maturity, and other detailed terms attached to the $445 million credit facility.
